The Town of Grimsby is proud to announce it has been recognized with two prestigious Design Awards as part of the 2024 Niagara Biennial Design Awards Program. These awards celebrate the Town’s commitment to excellence in landscape architecture and its ongoing dedication to enhancing public spaces for the community.
The Niagara Biennial Design Awards celebrate design excellence across Niagara’s diverse built environments. The program promotes high-quality design and recognizes projects that contribute to the region’s cultural and economic vitality.
The Town of Grimsby received awards in the following categories:
Award of Excellence – Landscape Architecture
- Casablanca Waterfront Park Project
- Project Team: Town of Grimsby, SDG Landscape Architects, Matrix Solutions Inc., MNE Engineering, Kuntz Forestry Consulting Inc., Oakridge Landscape Contractors
Award of Outstanding Achievement – Landscape Architecture
- Coronation Park Renovation and Ecological Restoration Project
- Project Team: Town of Grimsby, Shoreplan Engineering, CRL Campbell Construction
These awards were determined by a distinguished five-member jury panel of external design professionals, facilitated by Niagara Region, for projects completed between August 2022 and August 2024.
