Oakville Meals on Wheels (OMoW) is a registered charity providing healthy meals, along with social interaction for seniors and vulnerable residents in Oakville. We are pleased to announce our participation in the annual March for Meals campaign. March for Meals celebrates the impact meals on wheels programs has across North America, raises awareness about the local need and promotes community engagement.
There are many different ways for the general public to take part.
- The community at large is encouraged to follow Oakville Meals on Wheels on Facebook, X, Instagram and LinkedIn, and amplify the messaging on their own social channels.
- On March 4th, Mayor Rob Burton will be raising the OMoW flag at Town Hall at 10am, and proclaiming March as March for Meals month in Oakville. The public is invited to attend.
- There will be a community event at Mo's Family Restaurant later in the month where you can join your neighbours in a March Around Mo's to raise awareness about meals on wheels programs.
