
A 41-year-old Cobourg man faces multiple charges after police arrest as part of the Warrant Apprehension and Bail Compliance project.
On Thursday, February 27, 2025, at approximately 1:15 p.m., as part of the Warrant Apprehension and Bail Compliance project, members of the Cobourg Police Service on patrol in the area of King Street East and McGill Street observed a man wanted for theft and possession of property obtained by crime.
Police arrested the man and, upon arrest, located two knives, approximately 47.5 grams of Fentanyl, Pills, and Canadian Currency. As a result of the investigation, David Munn (41) of Cobourg was charged with the following offences:
• Theft Under $5,000
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
• Possession of a Schedule I Substance (Fentanyl) for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of a Schedule I Substance (Hydromorphone) for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of a Schedule V Substance (Clonazepam) for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
• Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5,000
The accused was held for a bail hearing.

A 27-year-old Cobourg man is facing charges after a stolen bike was reported to police Thursday night.
On Thursday, February 27, 2025, at approximately 11:00 p.m., police were contacted by a resident whose bicyclehad just been stolen from in front of their downtown residence. A short time later, the resident, while out looking for their bicycle, observed their bicycle being ridden by the suspect. Officers attended and, as a resultof the investigation, arrested a 27-year-old Cobourg man who was subsequently charged with Theft Under
$5,000, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and two counts of Fail to Comply with Probation. The accused was held in custody pending a Bail Hearing.

A 31-year-old Port Hope woman is charged with impaired operation Friday morning.
On Friday, February 28, 2025, at approximately 3:30 a.m., police on general patrol in the area of White Street and Burnham Street observed a driver asleep behind the wheel of a running vehicle in a parking lot. Upon further investigation by the officer, it was determined the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by drug. As a result, a 31-year-old Port Hope woman was arrested for Impaired operation – drugs or alcohol and Breach of Probation. The accused was later released on an Undertaking with a future court date.
