Cornerstone Family Violence Prevention Centre (Cornerstone) is pleased to share that the much-anticipated Women’s Day Luncheon is set to take place on May 15th at the Best Western in Cobourg. This special event will bring the community together for a beautiful afternoon to celebrate women and make a positive lasting impact in Northumberland County.
This year’s guest speaker is Fallon Farinacci. A proud Red River Métis, Fallon is a speaker, survivor, and advocate for MMIWG (Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls). Fallon has cultivated an incredible community and uses her online platform to share her story, give back to the Indigenous community, and raise awareness for causes and organizations close to her heart. The Canadian Women’s Foundation recently announced that Fallon is one of three recipients of the 2025 Feminist Creator Prize. The winners have been selected for their work championing critical conversations about gender justice and equality, safety, and freedom from harm.
The event will include a delightful lunch offering an opportunity to network and connect with members of the community and an incredible silent auction to explore. “This event would not be possible without our sponsors. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Part Time CFO Services for their generous support as our Speaker Sponsor for the Women’s Day Luncheon. We couldn’t be more thankful for their ongoing partnership with Cornerstone and their continued commitment to working together to end gender-based violence in our community.” commented Cornerstone Executive Director, Nancy Johnston.
Speaker Sponsor and President of Part Time CFO Services, Darryl Goodall, is looking forward to the event, “Part Time CFO Services is committed to making a positive impact in our community, we are pleased to support Cornerstone’s 9th annual Luncheon, and we look forward to this great event.” commented Part Time CFO Services President, Darryl Goodall.
