NIAGARA FALLS, ON - The 2025 Community Curbside Giveaway is fast approaching! On Saturday, April 12, rain or shine, from 7 am to 5 pm, the City of Niagara Falls and the Environmental Action Committee encourage residents to recycle unwanted, reusable items in the spirit of community and sustainability.
To participate, residents can place used items in good condition on their property for others to take between 7 am and 5 pm. Mark your items as FREE with Community Curbside signage found on the City's website (or create your own). This initiative gives useful objects a new life while keeping them out of landfills. It also encourages recycling, builds a stronger community, and contributes to a more sustainable city.
Materials must be removed from the curb by 7 pm Saturday to avoid by-law violations (and potential fines). The City will not collect any items left at the curb. If you would like to donate any leftover items, contact a local charity or schedule a large item collection with the Niagara Region.
Promote your Giveaway items online
Promote your items locally using the City of Niagara Falls Community Curbside public Facebook event page, or share photos on Instagram and Twitter using the hashtag #nfcurbside.
Curbside giveaway etiquette and safety tips:

- Keep sidewalks and fire hydrants clear.
- Obey traffic laws at all times (e.g., do not block traffic, park illegally or block other residents' driveways).
- Materials must be removed from the curb by 7 pm Saturday to avoid by-law violations (and potential fines).
