A 70-year-old Cobourg resident is facing impaired driving charges.
 

In the early hours of Friday, April 11, 2025, police responded to a vehicle stuck in a ditch in the area of Brook Road South and Lakeshore Road in Cobourg. The driver failed an alcohol roadside screening device. No injuries were reported.


As a result of the police investigation, a 70-year-old Cobourg man was charged with Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus). The accused was released with a future court date.
