Niagara Falls, ON – As part of its capital budget for improvements within Queen Victoria Park, Niagara Parks will be undertaking asphalt resurfacing of the Niagara Parkway from Clifton Hill to Fraser Hill beginning on April 22, 2025. Traffic Considerations With work scheduled to begin on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, the project will address both the north and southbound lanes. The projected completion date is Friday, May 9, 2025. Traffic will be maintained throughout the area with traffic control operators in place during this time. Motorists should expect temporary delays. Expanding the Pedestrian Walkway As part of this project and overall plans to improve the public realm within the high traffic area of Queen Victoria Park, Niagara Parks will be installing additional jersey barriers in the northbound lane of the Niagara Parkway (lane closest to the river) from Murray Street to Clifton Hill. The installation of the new jersey barriers will take place from May 13 to 15, 2025, after the resurfacing is complete. This work will expand the pedestrian walkway within this popular area overlooking Niagara Falls, helping to reduce congestion and improve public safety. |
