Niagara Falls, ON — Thanks to the incredible generosity of local Tim Hortons restaurant owners and the outpouring of
support from the Niagara community, Pathstone Foundation and Autism Ontario South Region will each receive a
remarkable donation of $43,186.83.
A cheque presentation will take place on Wednesday, May 21st at 1:30 p.m. at the Tim Hortons located at 4725
Dorchester Road in Niagara Falls. Representatives from both charities will be present alongside the franchise owners
who helped make this meaningful contribution possible.
This gift is the result of a recent Smile Cookie campaign, where proceeds from every $2 cookie sold supported mental
health and an annual summer camp for autistic individuals in the Niagara Region.
“This donation goes far beyond a dollar amount,” said Marla Smith, Director of Foundation and Communications at
Pathstone Foundation. “It symbolizes how one small act—like buying a cookie—can grow into something truly
transformative for children and families in our community. We are deeply grateful to the Tim Hortons owners for
choosing us and to the community for responding with such heart.”
Pathstone Foundation supports the work of Pathstone Mental Health, Niagara’s lead agency for children’s mental health
services. With demand for mental health support at an all-time high, these funds will directly support therapy programs,
early intervention, and crisis services for children and youth. Autism Ontario South Region will direct the funds to
support an inclusive summer camp experience for autistic children, youth, and adults, celebrating its 25th year
operating in the Niagara community. Behind these contributions are the passionate and community-driven Tim Hortons
store owners, who not only donated their storefronts and time but rallied staff and customers to make the Smile Cookie
campaign a local success story.
This powerful collaboration highlights what is possible when local businesses, charities, and community members
