Congratulations are in order for Heather Schmitz, the official winner of the Spring Ka-Ching
50/50 Draw, taking home a grand prize of $27,430 with ticket number #148309. Heather has
already picked up her cheque and says the win came as a complete surprise.
“I was in disbelief when I got the call,” said Heather. “You always buy a ticket hoping you might
win, but never actually expect it. This couldn’t have come at a better time, it’s going to help my
family in a big way. And knowing that the money raised supports people right here in our
community makes it even more meaningful.”
The Spring Ka-Ching 50/50 Draw is one of several fundraisers held by Port Cares, a vital local
organization that provides services and support to individuals and families in need throughout
South Niagara. Proceeds from the draw help fund the local food bank, providing for community
members in need.
“We are excited for Heather and so grateful to everyone who participated in this draw,” said

real people in our community, people who are struggling to make ends meet. The support from
