(Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario) - Residents of Niagara-on-the-Lake are
invited to a special event as the Town’s beloved tulips, which have
brightened downtown this spring, have been carefully lifted by the Town
and sorted by the Niagara-on-the-Lake Horticultural Society. These
vibrant tulip bulbs, sorted by colours such as yellow & red and purple &
pink, will be available for purchase at an unbeatable price of $3 per
dozen.
The sale takes place on Tuesday, June 3, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. - or
until they last - at the front doors of the Community Centre. Gardeners
and flower lovers are encouraged to come early, as the tulips bulbs are
expected to sell out quickly.
“We’re excited to work alongside the NOTL Horticultural Society on this
tulip project,” said J.B. Hopkins, Parks Supervisor for
Niagara-on-the-Lake. “It’s a simple way to share what we grow and keep
our town blooming, all while supporting the Society’s valuable volunteer
efforts.”
“These days can feel pretty uncertain, but it’s amazing what we can get
done when we all pitch in together,” says Jo-Ann Fraser, coordinator of
the tulip sale. “It’s about coming together as a community, sharing a
little beauty, and supporting some great local programs along the way.”
