
The Muskoka Almaguin Ontario Health Team (MAOHT) is inviting patients, family members, and caregivers from across the region to join our Patient, Family, Caregiver Partners Advisory Committee (PFCPAC).
This is a meaningful way to share your voice, shape decisions, and help create a more connected and compassionate health and social service system in our region.
About the MAOHT
The MAOHT brings together health care providers, community organizations, and people with lived experience to build a more connected, coordinated health system across our region. Our projects aim to improve access, experiences, and outcomes for patients and caregivers.
What is the PFCPAC?
The PFCPAC is made up of individuals who have personal experience with the health or social service
system. As a member, you will:
- Share your insights and lived experience to guide care improvements
- Participate in meaningful conversations that shape local services
- Work alongside service providers in project teams and advisory groups
- Advocate for more accessible, patient- and caregiver-centred care
What to Expect
- Time commitment: ~9 hours/month (includes meetings, preparation, and committee work)
- Compensation: A stipend is available in recognition of your time and contributions
- Location: We welcome members from across the region—including Almaguin, Lake of Bays, Huntsville, Bracebridge, and surrounding areas
Who Should Apply?
We’re looking for people who:
- Have experience using health or community services in the region
- Have experience in the areas of Indigenous issues, mental health and addiction, or finance and analysis
- Are open to sharing their ideas and experiences
- Are passionate about improving care for others
