Join Parks Canada and the Friends of Fort George on July 12- 13, 2025, as we commemorate 212th Anniversary of the Battle of Fort George with a special re-enactment weekend.
Hundred of re-enactors from all over North America will descend upon Fort George as they re-enact one of the pivotal events in Niagara during the War of 1812. Battle re-enactments will be happening at 11:00am and 3:00pm on Saturday July 12th and 1:00pm on Sunday July 13th. 1812 programming including musket firings, cannon firings, music presentations and more will be happening throughout both days inside the imposing walls of Fort George.
We are excited to announce that renowned author Donald Hickey will be joining us for a featured presentation at 12:30pm inside the Officers’ Quarters on Saturday July 12th. Following the presentation will be a book signing with the author.
