Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON – Art at the Pumphouse, the Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre’s annual juried art show and sale, returns August 2 & 3, 2025, bringing together a dynamic collection of original artwork and artistic talent in one of Niagara’s most scenic locations. Visitors are invited to explore an exceptional variety of works, including paintings, photography, sculpture, glass, pottery, textiles, jewellery, and more—all showcased along the picturesque riverfront at 247 Ricardo Street.
Among this year’s first-time participants is multi-media artist Bill Davidson of Beamsville, celebrated for his bold hard-edge acrylic paintings. “I’m looking forward to this art show and see it as a good opportunity to showcase my work,” shares Davidson, whose artistic journey spans over five decades and multiple mediums.
Also featured is returning artist Wendy Palermo, whose expressive acrylic paintings continue to capture the attention of art lovers. “I'm thrilled to be participating in this year’s Art Show at the Pumphouse—a place that continues to inspire and energize my creative spirit,” says Palermo. “Art has always been my passion, a soulful necessity that connects me deeply with others and the world around me.”
She adds, “There’s something incredibly special about welcoming visitors to my booth—those who come to support local artists and take the time to appreciate the creativity and dedication behind each piece. This year marks nearly a decade of sharing my work in shows, and I’ve grown immensely, both as an artist and as someone who loves engaging with fellow art enthusiasts.”
With the generous support of the Government of Canada, Art at the Pumphouse continues to provide a vital platform for artists and artisans to connect with the community and inspire others through their work.
The in-person event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on both days and includes an artisan marketplace, live artist demonstrations, musical performances in the Rose Garden and Riverside areas, and refreshments for sale for visitors to enjoy. A virtual component of the show will also be available online from July 14 to August 10, 2025, extending access to those who want to preview the show or are unable to attend in person.
Live demos by local artists throughout the weekend feature techniques such as acrylic painting, charcoal drawing, pottery throwing, weaving, and cyanotype toning. Musical performances by Niagara musicians including John Claus, Selena Carlson, Gordon Cleland, and more will add to the festive atmosphere.
Tickets are just $5.00 per person, with no-charge entry for children. Visit artatthepumphouse.ca to purchase tickets and explore the full event schedule.
