Niagara Falls, ON — Niagara Parks is enhancing safety and accessibility along the Niagara Parkway by relocating and constructing a new northbound WEGO bus stop near the crosswalk at Fraser Hill.
This new stop will replace the existing northbound WEGO bus stop located north of the Toronto Power Generating Station. Construction will take place from Thursday, August 7 to Friday, August 8. With construction now underway for the redevelopment of Toronto Power, the pedestrian pathways on the north and south sides of the building are closed. As such, guests are being redirected to access the Niagara River Recreation Trail on the opposite side of the street using the designated crosswalks at Fraser Hill and the entrance to Dufferin Islands. - To support this detour, the northbound WEGO bus stop will be relocated to Fraser Hill, enhancing pedestrian safety, accessibility and visibility for all users.
- During construction, a lane restriction will be in place in the northbound east lane of the Niagara Parkway adjacent to the new stop.
- Pedestrian access will be maintained via the Fraser Hill intersection.
