Lincoln, ON – Help push us over the top—this week's goal is funding sufficient for the
support of another 130 children in our Back To School program. As the new school year
approaches, Village of Hope Niagara is calling on the community to help ensure that
more than 400 local children have the resources they need to succeed in the
classroom. Many of these young students are facing the new academic year without
basic school supplies or support at home, putting their educational opportunities—and
futures—at risk.
The cost of each child in our program is $15 monthly, for the duration of our Back
To School program through June. This funding includes the costs of purchasing and
distributing weekly healthy snack boxes—including 100% juice, fresh fruit, and
granola bars—as well as essential school supplies, and home internet subsidy.
“Education is the cornerstone of a bright future, and every child deserves equal access
to it,” says Village of Hope Niagara CEO Cheryl Keddy-Scott. “It breaks our hearts to
think that children filled with curiosity and potential might be held back simply due to a
lack of resources. By joining forces, we can make a meaningful impact and give these
students the chance to thrive.”
