Community Invited to Join in Honouring a Legacy of Empowerment, Resilience, and Growth
St. Catharines, ON – August 15, 2025 – Start Me Up Niagara is proud to announce its 25th Anniversary Jubilee
Celebrations, marking a milestone year of standing alongside individuals and families experiencing the effects of poverty
which include housing instability, barriers to employment, compromised mental health and food insecurity. Since
incorporating in 2000, Start Me Up Niagara has grown from a small grassroots initiative to a trusted community leader,
offering a wide range of programs and services that promote dignity, stability, and self-sufficiency. For 25 years, the
organization has helped people navigate complex systems and build meaningful, independent lives.
In recognition of this legacy, Start Me Up Niagara will host a series of Jubilee events this fall, including its signature
Mystery & Mimosa Jubilee Brunch an uplifting celebration of community, resilience, and transformation. “This is more
than a celebration it is a reflection on the thousands of lives that have been impacted over the past 25 years. We’re
excited to celebrate with the community that has stood by us over the past 25 years and that we know will continue to
walk with us into the next chapter.” says Laura Dumas Executive Director
