The second annual open air Autumn Art Market is just around the corner, taking place this Saturday, September 27th from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in downtown Bracebridge. The event will bring together artists, performers, authors, and musicians for a full day of creativity and community.
Throughout the day, the streets will be filled with live music from local performers, dance showcases by the Bracebridge School of Dance Arts, and aerial arts performances. Visitors will also be able to enjoy demonstrations including weaving, printmaking, and plein air painting by members of the Muskoka arts community. In celebration of Bracebridge 150, visitors are invited to see artist Jim Bravo painting live during the festival.
The market will feature a wide range of artists and makers from Muskoka Arts and Crafts, the Annex Art Collective, as well as local youth showcasing their talent through the Rising Star Youth program. Authors will also be part of the day, with the Muskoka Authors Association hosting an Author’s Corner.
“This event is quickly becoming a highlight of the fall season in downtown Bracebridge,” says Tracy Larkman, Manager of the Bracebridge BIA. “It brings together so many different parts of our arts community, from professional artists to emerging talent, and offers something special for both residents and visitors to experience.”
This year’s Autumn Art Market is proudly supported by the Town of Bracebridge, Muskoka Arts and Crafts, and Explorers’ Edge, helping us share the event with an even wider audience. It is free to attend and offers something for everyone—live entertainment, hands-on art experiences, and the opportunity to connect with the incredible talent that makes up our local arts community.
To allow for setup, Manitoba Street will be closed to traffic on Saturday, September 27th at 7:00 a.m. from Taylor Road to Ontario Street and will reopen at 7:00 p.m. Parking will be available in nearby municipal lots.
