Environment Canada has issued a Snow Squall Watch for Parry Sound-Muskoka. Conditions are favourable for lake effect snow squalls from Lake Huron and Georgian Bay beginning this evening. Latest indications suggest that 15 cm of snow are possible in the heaviest snow squalls tonight and Wednesday. Strong and gusty winds are also expected to result in sudden very low visibility at times in blowing snow during the snow squalls. Hazardous winter driving conditions are expected. Motorists should be prepared to change travel plans accordingly. Snow squalls cause weather conditions to vary considerably; changes from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometres are common. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Road closures are possible.
