
MUSKOKA – December 11, 2017: The Bracebridge branch of the Kawartha Credit Union has partnered with YWCA Muskoka to help fund a Girlz Unplugged program at Monck Public School in Bracebridge. Their generous donation of $1,000 will go towards the cost of facilitating Girlz Unplugged.
This program is a 12-week life skills program for girls in grades 5-7. It focuses on healthy relationships, positive body image, goal setting, conflict resolution and fostering self-care. YWCA Muskoka runs life skills programs for youth across Muskoka.
These include Girlz Unplugged, Girlz Choice, Girlspace Leadership and Quest for boys in both elementary school and high school. Healthy snacks are included and subsidies are available.
