Community Event - Peterborough/Lindsay - Get Tickets for YWCA Empty Bowls at The Venue

Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

The idea for YWCA Empty Bowls is simple: guests of the event receive a delicious lunch of soups, salads, breads and desserts, generously donated by local restaurants and businesses and select either:

  • a beautiful, hand-crafted bowl, created and donated by local artisans of the Kawartha Potters Guild, Kawartha Wood Turners Guild and Artisans Centre Peterborough, or
  • a charitable tax receipt.

Guests are given the option to dine-in at The Venue, or pick up their pre-ordered lunch to-go from YWCA, making it easy and convenient for everyone to take part.

New this year: Guests may now choose to receive either a charitable tax receipt or a hand-crafted bowl.

All proceeds from YWCA Empty Bowls directly support YWCA JustFood and Crossroads Shelter's Nutritional Wellbeing Program, helping local women and children enjoy fresh ingredients, learn life-changing food skills and build community.
