Join the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at St. John's Conservation Area in Thorold for the annual opening of Trout Season.
The ceremonial fist cast by Mickey DiFruscio will take place at 12:00. A lucky angler will have the opportunity to catch a special fish. Mickey DiFruscio of the NPCA Foundation has tagged a trout with a prize worth $20.
In addition to fishing, the site features wheelchair accessible facilities and an abundance of natural beauty and scenic trails. A valid Fishing License is required, and conservation limits will apply. Please check the Ontario Fishing Regulations for further information at www.ontario.ca.
There is a voluntary admission fee of $2 per person or $5 per family, with all the proceeds going towards conservation efforts. The day will feature face painters, recreational fishing, informational booths, BBQ sale, and so much more!
