Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on

This Is Her Story reveals information on four area women who served during the First World War in honour of Nurses Week. On Thursday, May 10 at 7 p.m. and again on Saturday, May 12 at 2 p.m., McKechnie will share the tales behind four local women - Maude Dayton, Alma Finnie, Katherine McKinnon and Winnifred Hardy - who served as nurses during the ‘war to end all wars’ and what their stories mean today.

Exhibit viewing takes place one hour before each presentation, held at the museum. Tickets for This is Her Story: Rediscovering Our WWI Nursing Sisters cost $20 and are available from the museum office, Wednesday to Friday, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. Proceeds from the event will help support future museum endeavours.
