Just as the Conservative party did provincially, Steve Clark swept to victory in the riding of Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes. Clark counted a whopping 62% of the votes cast easily outdistancing Michelle Taylor who finished 2nd and Liberal David Henderson, current mayor of Brockville, who placed 3rd. Green Party candidate Derek Morley was 4th while Libertarian party candidate Bill Buckley was a distant 5th. Clark was first elected to Queen's Park in a byelection in 2010.
