Dinner consisting of cold meats, salads, dessert, coffee and tea. Proceeds will help with the project to place "Buddy Benches" in the elementary school playgrounds in the Smiths Falls area. "Buddy Benches" are to provide a place to go if you are being bullied or you need a quiet place.

Directed by Rob Stewart, Sharkwater Extinction is a moving exposure of an illegal shark finning industry bent on destroying an entire species. The movie will be shown at the Capitol Theatre on Monday, July 8, at 4:00 and 7:00. $10 cash at the door. New season applications of $50 will be accepted. The new season begins in August. Event sponsored by the Palliative Care Services program of the Brockville General Hospital. It is a program for individuals who are coping with the loss of a loved one. It provides an alternative form of self-help and support by walking along side people who share a similar experience. Trained bereavement facilitators accompany the walker each week. The walker should be able to tolerate walking at a leisurely pace and be prepared to walk in the elements of the changing seasons. (rain, shine, or snow)
