Bloom: A Rock ’n’ Roll Fable follows the lives of two small town best friends from Assumption, Ontario, who share a lifelong love affair with rock ’n’ roll music. From their childhood in the 1950s, to the heady music days of the 1970s, Bloom is based on stories collected from some of Peterborough’s most renowned rock and roll personalities. The play will feature original music written by Beau Dixon and others. The barnyard will be rocking for the entire month of July!

Carmel is the third in the Barnardo children series of plays (Doctor Barnardo’s Children, 2005, 2006 & 2014; Wounded Soldiers, 2014) and will feature characters you already met and fell in love with. This play is filled with music, dancing and farm families trying to get on with the job of living their lives. Set on the Carmel Line in Cavan Township in 1937, the play follows the struggles of a family to hold on to the farm during the Great Depression. This bittersweet work also explores Peterborough labour history and features original music inspired by country and folk music traditions of the 1930s.

The Niagara Foundation for Catholic Education's Annual Benefit Gala with honourary guest Most Reverend Gerard Bergie, D.D., Bishop of St. Catharines Diocese This is an annual fundraiser that offers opportunities for the foundation to directly support students in need, specifically through the foundation's involvement in such outreach programs as providing warm boots and coats, supporting nutrition programs in schools (one in five students goes to school hungry every day) funding for the purchasing of school uniforms, personal care items, and financial assistance in achieving a higher level of education.The evening commences at 5:30 p.m. with a remarkable mouth-watering Anti Pasto bar, cocktail reception, complimentary wine tasting, and cash bar followed by dinner at 7:00 p.m.

This year's gala will feature a special after dinner speaker, National Hockey Legend and Team Canada '72 member Pat Stapleton. Pat's warm personality and sense of humour is well known to many citizens of the Niagara Region, and his presence will be a welcome addition to what is already an enjoyable evening with excellent cuisine that features a popular pre-dinner Antipasto Bar. 

Tickets are $80.00 each. Price includes one complimentary drink per person, 2 bottles of wine placed on each table during dinner.
