The 21st Abraham Festival, celebrating the 3 Abrahamic Faiths is being held:
September 13 and 15th
at 221 Romaine St at St. James United Church.
The theme is Connecting Threads For Peace.
Kirk Dunn, The Knitting Pilgrim, will be talking about how and why he came to knit 3 huge panels like stained glass, each one depicting symbols of the Abrahamic Faiths. (Judaism, Christianity and Islam).
Humorous yet personal and informative, his talk takes us on a 10 year journey that began with knitting. He explains how these panels developed and how they helped him understand each of the Abrahamic Faiths, and his own spirituality.
In memory of founder Helen McCarthy, this event is free of charge. Donations are welcome.
