EXTREME HEAT WARNING: A severe heat event begins today and will last until Wednesday or Thursday evening, with conditions peaking on Tuesday. Expect dangerous daytime highs of 30°C to 37°C—especially across Southwestern Ontario, the Greater Golden Horseshoe, and Eastern Ontario—with stifling humidex values between 38 and 45. Overnight lows of 20°C to 24°C will provide little relief, and air quality may degrade to high-risk levels. To stay safe, drink water frequently, restrict outdoor activities to cooler hours, and use air conditioning or public cooling centers.
