๐ŸŒธ Filipino Heritage Month: Flower Festival 2025 ๐ŸŒธ
Celebrating Culture, Beauty, and Community in Bloom

June is Filipino Heritage Month in Canada โ€” a time to honor and celebrate the rich culture, traditions, and contributions of the Filipino community. This year, we're proud to launch our Flower Festival, inspired by the beloved Flores de Mayo celebrated back home in the Philippines.

Though traditionally held at the end of May in the Philippines, we bring this tradition to Canada in June โ€” a month where we celebrate who we are, where we come from, and the vibrant spirit we carry with us.

๐ŸŽ‰ What to Expect:
We have 23 lovely girls and ladies who will shine as festival princesses, each dressed in elegant gowns and tiaras, parading proudly with flower-adorned arcs assigned to them. These floral arcs will be displayed in front of the bandshell circle in the park โ€” perfect for selfies, family photos, and Instagram-worthy shots!

โœจ Highlights of the Day:

  • ๐ŸŒน Princess Parade & Fashion Show
  • ๐Ÿ’ƒ Traditional Filipino Dances
  • ๐ŸŽถ Singing and Cultural Performances
  • ๐Ÿœ Asian Food Fair
  • ๐Ÿ•บ Community Dance Sessions โ€“ everyoneโ€™s welcome to join!

Filipinos are known for our love of performance, culture, and community โ€” and this event is our joyful way of sharing that spirit with everyone. Whether youโ€™re Filipino or simply curious, come and experience the beauty, rhythm, and flavors of the Philippines right here in Canada!

๐Ÿ“ Location: Bandshell Circle, [Lamoureux Park]
๐Ÿ“… Date: [June 7]
โฐ Time: [Food vendors available by 11am event starts at 1pm]

Letโ€™s bloom together this June! ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ’
