Community Event - Kingston - Teddy Bear Hospital Returns on Family Day Feb 17
On Monday, February 17th, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, the Museum of Health Care will host its annual Teddy Bear Hospital Event. Children and their families are invited to bring their teddy bears or other favourite stuffed animals to the museum for a check-up with trained “teddy doctors and nurses”, who will examine and treat any bumps, lumps, and bruises.
This fun, interactive event offers an opportunity for children to learn, laugh, and discover that doctors and hospitals aren’t so scary after all. The day will also include special activities and crafts, making it a delightful experience for children aged 0-10.
Families visiting the Teddy Bear Hospital will enjoy a unique hands-on experience that helps children feel more comfortable with medical settings in a safe and friendly environment. By engaging with health professionals in a playful way, kids can reduce anxiety about doctor visits, making future healthcare interactions more positive. This beloved Kingston tradition is a fantastic way to nurture young imaginations, encourage role-play, and foster early learning about health and wellness.
Pre-registration for a time slot is required. Activities & crafts included!
Admission: By donation Register for a time slot
