Come celebrate BHM with Afrocentric Awareness Network of Peterborough!
The free Afrocentric meal (bring salad or dessert if you wish, but this isn't mandatory) will be from 1pm - 2pm, followed by a presentation by Jane Braithwaite, then a performance by local musician Faith Nolan. The event ends at 3pm and will be held at 347 Burnham St in Peterborough. There is a free parking lot on the premises.
Please register by calling 705-917-9397 or emailing aanptbo@gmail.com . Sponsored by the United Way Peterborough and Community Race Relations Committee of Peterborough!
Come enjoy a story at the Peterborough Public Library by and about people of African descent! Pick up a free Afrocentric gift as well. Stories are aimed at children aged 6 and up, but everyone is welcome. Jane Braithwaite brings books alive in the Story Corner downstairs! January 18, 10:30am.
Brought to you in collaboration with the Peterborough Public Library and sponsored by: United Way Peterborough, New Canadians Centre, and Community Race Relations Committee of Peterborough.
