All Goodwill Community Stores and Donation Centres are now closed.  Please do not drop off donations while they are closed as it creates a health risk in our communities.

Although you’re busy decluttering… but please do not drop off donations while Goodwill is closed as it creates a health risk for our communities.  When they re-open, the charity will need your donations more than ever.

The Town of Kingsville is waiving penalties and interest on tax and water accounts until April 30, 2020 in order to provide residents with the flexibility to manage their cash flows during this time of crisis. Any residents on a pre-authorized payment plan will have payments withdrawn as scheduled, unless alternative direction is provided to the Town. Council will reassess deadlines on a continuous basis and may provide additional financial relief as the economic impact of COVID-19 becomes clear.

Penalties & interest payments to be waived for payments due March 31 through April 30. Property tax and water accounts set up for pre-authourized payment plans remain unaffected. Property owners who wish to be removed from an existing PAP plan must contact the Town's tax office at 519-728-2700 or taxes@lakeshore.ca.

n Emergency Delegation of Authority by-law to provide greater administrative flexibility on financial decision-making, extension to payment deadlines, legal agreements, and facility closures. This emergency delegation of authority would apply while the declared emergency remains in place and Council cannot reasonably be convened for those matters during the pandemic.

·         Changes to the procedural by-law to allow for electronic participation in Council meetings during local emergencies. Going forward, Council members will be able to attend via electronic means, such as phone or teleconferencing. This new ability will reduce in-person meetings but will still ensure transparency by providing the public with electronic access to Council’s meetings during the pandemic emergency.

·         Waiving penalties and interest for property tax payments up to and including April 30, 2020. Property tax accounts set up on pre-authorized payment plans will continue automatic withdrawals. Property owners requesting to end automatic payments must contact the Town’s Finance division at 519-776-7336 ext. 3050.

·         The sending of a letter of support to the Ontario Energy Board, the Premier of Ontario, and the local Member of Provincial Parliament, asking for the elimination of time of use billing for hydro rates throughout the Province.
