Date:  March 5th                      Doors Open: 6:30 PM        Film Starts: 7:00 PM

Location: Nipissing University, B200 - 100 College Drive (follow the signs!)

In The Woman Who Loves Giraffes, pioneering Canadian scientist Dr. Anne Innis Dagg re-traces the steps of her ground-breaking 1956 journey to South Africa to study giraffes in the wild. Now, in her eighties, Anne sees a startling contrast between the world of giraffes she once knew and the one it has become. Weaving through the past and present, her harrowing journey gives us an intimate look into the factors that destroyed her career and the global forces that brought her back.

Admission: Voluntary Donation to Forests without Borders.

All proceeds from the event are going to Forests without Borders a registered charity that helps people restore forests. Forests without Borders currently has projects in Kenya, Tanzania and Ghana that integrates public education and forest restoration. All of these countries have giraffe habitat.
