St. Mary's Catholic Women's League is holding the "Ye Ole English Christmas Tea & Bake Sale" on Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Cost:  $10./person.  Where:  St. Mary's Parish Hall (downstairs), elevator available.  The tea and bake sale is being held alongside the St. Mary's Art Show.  All are welcome to attend.

The Spencerville Community Choir presents The Very Best Time of Year concert on Sunday, December 1 at 2 p.m. and on Monday, December 2 at 7 p.m., at Spencerville United Church, 16 Centre Street, Spencerville.

Tickets available at the door: Adults $15, Students 12 to 18 $7, Children 11 and under $3.

Proceeds: donated to Lazarus House and the Edwardsburgh Food Bank.

Northumberland Chorus is proud to once again sing for the Salvation Army Kettle Drive on Monday, December 2nd at Walmart, Cobourg, 7:00 pm. It is always an honour each year to sing for this wonderful charity event in order to attract and increase donations for the Kettle Drive. We hope you will be able to come, listen, enjoy, and give!

St. Paul's United Church Advent & Christmas Services Calendar 

Please mark your calendars with the following information about St. Paul's Advent and Christmas Services in December:

 

  • December 1st – Advent 1:  Communion and White Gift giving (food or other items, wrapped in white paper or in white bags, to be donated to the Salvation Army for their food bank and Christmas store); 
  • December 8th – Advent 2: Community Carol Sing led by Milton Concert Band at 3 p.m. in the historic Sanctuary.  Monetary donations and proceeds from Sterling Montessori hot chocolate sales will go to Food for Life; 
  • December 15th – Advent 3:  Christmas pageant;
  • December 22nd – Advent 4: Music Sunday with St. Paul’s Brass Ensemble and choir;
  • December 24th – Two Christmas Eve services:  5:00 p.m. family-oriented service with communion, and 7:30 p.m. candlelight service with choir; and
  • December 29th – Casual service in the main hall, as in the past, followed by fellowship with coffee, tea and sweets.

 

P.S. Donations of mittens/hats/socks to the Christmas tree in the Atrium are appreciated throughout Advent and will be donated to the Salvation Army.
