Seniors’ Information & Active Living Fair – November 14th, 2024 – Wellington & District Community Centre 

Prince Edward Community Care is hosting the seventh annual FREE Seniors’ Information and Active Living Fair. There will be over 50 vendors from the community showcasing the services they offer, as well as presentations and demonstrations. This event starts at 10:00am with activities through to 3:00pm. Organizers recommend planning to attend for the full day.  All are welcome! Free lunch & refreshments while supplies last. Prince Edward Community Care has arranged for Canadian Hearing Services (CHS) to hold a free Hearing Help Clinic at the Bloomfield Town Hall, 289 Main Street, Bloomfield, on Wednesday, November 27th.  This is your chance to have a Hearing Care Counsellor answer your questions about hearing loss, receive information about hearing health care, provide communication strategies for hearing loss, do hearing screening, provide tips for hearing aid maintenance and demonstrate technical devices.  These services are all provided for free.  Call Community Care at 613-476-7493 to schedule your half hour appointment with a hearing care counsellor. www.communitycareforseniors.org

55 Alive Driver Refresher Course - Tuesday, November 19th, 2024 - Community Care office

The driver refresher course is developed by the Canada Safety Council and is designed specifically to help older drivers improve their driving skills. This event will be held on Tuesday, November 19th, 2024, from 9:30am until 3:00 pm at the Community Care office, 74A King Street, Picton. The cost is $40.00 per person which includes lunch, a 100-page workbook, useful resources, a certificate and instruction by David Fox, who is trained by the Canada Safety Council. Space is limited.
