Family law expert Paul G. Andrews offers two presentations on Formalizing Common-Law Relationships, discussing the rights and obligations of co-habiting partners, as distinct from those of married couples.  Two identical talks will be given: on Tuesday, November 13, at the Isabel Turner library (7 p.m.); and on Saturday, November 17, at the Sydenham library (2 p.m.). Free to all adults and teens, seating is limited. Please register in advance at events.kfpl.ca  (or by phone at 613-549-8888).

Community Event - Windsor/Leamington - Amherstburg Freedom Museum Christmas at the Museum

The Amherstburg Freedom Museum is hosting its annual Christmas at the Museum on Wednesday, December 12th at 7pm in the Nazrey A.M.E Church National Historic Site (277 King Street, Amherstburg).  The hour and a half program includes a performance by Brynda and Company who will perform traditional songs of the season and heart warming carols to start the holiday season off right. A dessert buffet will be served following the concert and we encourage guests to bring a canned good which will be donated to the Amherstburg Mission. This event is generously sponsored by the Detroit Memorial Park Association Inc., Dollars and Cents Investments Inc., and James H. Sutton Funeral Home.
