Part 1 of 8th FIRE, a 4- part CBC production, will be shown on the big screen at Chalmers United Church, Kingston. In it, host Wab Kinew guides an “energetic journey” through Indigenous territory. Chalmers/Sydenham Street Churches invite everyone to participate and view the series as a way to respond to the Canadian Truth and Reconciliation Report.
Stay for tea and casual conversation. Free Admission.
Parts 2, 3, and 4 will be presented Sunday afternoons, November 25, February 3 & 24 (2019).

OPEN-HEART SURGERY IN NOVEMBER AT TORONTO SICK KID’S HOSPITAL. HER FAMILY WILL NEED ACCOMMODATIONS BEFORE, DURING, AND AFTER HER SURGERY. THEN SHE WILL NEED TO RETURN TO TORONTO BI-WEEKLY TO MONITOR HER PROGRESS.

Join the Rotary Club of Quinte Sunrise for an evening of fun and fellowship and bid on some fabulous art and wine. Art pieces include originals as well as preloved art pieces. Our wine auction will profile both local and global wines. Your $15 ticket will gain you admission, and light appetizers will be served at the renowned San Souci 240 Front St Belleville November 22 7 pm to 9 pm. Cash bar. Get your Christmas shopping completed and help a good cause. Funds raised will be used for local initiatives.
The Toolbox Project founder James Symons, a compassionate community builder and life long Thorold resident founded the Tool Box Project in 2017. James set-out to build 25 shoe boxes filled with essentials for men in need during the Christmas season in the Niagara Region. His idea took off and in a little over a month the community came together, rallied behind the idea and helped James build over 300 Tool Boxes!
Join us Saturday November 17th from 6pm-9pm in support of the Toolbox Project Niagara. Lets beat last years 300 toolbox goal. Bring in a donation and receive a free 1/2lb of wings.
Raffle table will be set up with 100% of the money raised donated back to the Toolbox Project.
