Pine Grove has been entered into the Aviva Community Fund competition for the chance to win $100,000 towards a New Nature Inspired Playground!

The Aviva Community Fund Competition theme this year is about bringing people together to create change within our community. Pine Grove shares in these values with our vision: We are Going to be Better, Working Together.  Our Nature Inspired Playground plan will create a safe and enriching environment where our students can learn and connect with nature, where families can gather, play, make memories and create an even better sense of community. 

This initiative needs your support...tell your friends, family, coworkers and anyone who will listen to visit our project page, http://www.avivacommunityfund.org/voting/project/view/18-451 , register with Aviva and vote for Pine Grove Public School's New Nature Inspired Playground.

Voting runs until Thursday, October 4th at 5:00 pm, anyone registered for the Aviva Community Fund has 10 votes they can use during the voting round.

The Leeds & Grenville Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society is pleased to announce a new program – a Genealogy Drop-In get-together at our Archives/Library at 5 Henry Street, Brockville (in the basement at the Brockville Museum).

Drop in any time from 10:00 am until noon on the first and third Wednesdays of each month, beginning Wednesday, October 17th.  You can work on your family tree, share research strategies, ask for assistance on brick-wall ancestors, and learn what resources are available for your research. Members of the local Branch will be on hand to answer questions and help you get the most from your genealogy research.
