For 135 years the Salvation Army has helped countless families in Smiths Falls and surrounding area with their Christmas Kettle campaign. You can make a difference in someone's life by donating a minimum of two hours of your time to man a kettle. Student volunteers welcome and and this donation of time DOES qualify for community service hours required to receive a high school diploma. If you are able to volunteer please contact Jackie at 613.284.6713.
Join the Chatham Kent Women's Centre board, staff, and volunteers on November 1, 2018 at 5:00 pm in the parking lot at 20 Sandys St., Chatham for the lighting of our Christmas tree to kick off our Shine the Light Campaign. Reception and light refreshments to follow.
The goal of the Shine the Light on Woman Abuse campaign is to raise awareness of men's violence against women by turning communities purple for the month of November. Purple is a symbol of courage, survival and honour, and has to come to symbolize the fight to end woman abuse.
