Here you will discover Ball’s Falls has been lovingly maintained to its early mid 19th century industrial hamlet atmosphere featuring the original Ball family home, an operating flour mill, a lime kiln, a church, black smith shop, carriage shed, and more.
In addition to historical tours that take place on weekends, the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority is pleased to offer Heritage Days, taking place once a month in July, August, and September, highlighting heritage demonstrations which are sure to enhance the visitor experience.
Heritage Days will include:
-Blacksmith demonstrations in the blacksmith shop
-Grist Mill tour
-Niagara Handweavers and Spinners demonstration in the cabin
-Historical tours of the Ball Home
Come on out into nature, and learn all about Ball's Falls, and its heritage.
The Lawrence House hosts tis first "Artisans on the Lawn," Fri., Aug. 3 to Sat., Aug. 4. Local artisans will be selling jewelry, fabric art, pottery and paintings in tents. Harmony for Youth will supply a food area throughout the 2-day event. Musicians Mike Blackmore & Sherry Abram will provide music on Fri. evening. Sat. there will be face painting for the children and more musicians during the afternoon. Admission is free.
