This summer is the second and final Windsor-only showing of The Sandwich Project, the brainchild of conceptual artist, IAIN BAXTER&. Last year, this project began by exploring how Sandwich is at once place, object, and experience. This year, the curatorial team of Jaclyn Meloche and Christopher Finn has organized five more exhibitions which consider the art and economics of food.
Featuring two exhibitions of Andy Warhol’s work, photographs from BAXTER&’s 2008 residency in Rennes, France, a group artist exhibition of contemporary art, and a still life exhibition from the AGW collection, this program is sure to wow you with quality and content. It is a pleasure to have American Pop artist Andy Warhol showing solo at the AGW for the first time in two projects featuring prints from the 1970s and 1980s and the experimental film, EAT.
