Thursday, July 12 to Sunday July 15 at Lakeview Park. This year's event offers far more than just water sports and "fun in the sun". From a fishing derby to lawn mower races, a carnival, parade, vendor booths, classic cruise car show and fantastic live entertainment, the Sunsplash Committee undoubtedly achieved their mission of providing a "memorable weekend" - appealing equally to young and old - for residents and visitors to the Lakeshore area. Among this year's highlights is a guest musical performance by London-based award-winning rock trio, Rose Cora Perry & The Truth Untold. Acclaimed one of the Top #10 indie talents across the whole of Canada, the band's Belle River debut on Friday July 13th at 6 pm is just one of many dates in their tireless Spring/Summer touring efforts. Sponsored by Belle River's On the Lake Business Improvement Area (BIA), admission, as always, is free and all ages are welcome to attend. The Sunsplash Festival officially kicks off on Thursday July 12th at 6 pm and runs until Sunday July 15th at 6 pm at the Lakeview Park Ampitheatre (100 Lake Rd, Belle River)

Gleaners Food Bank is holding our annual Mega Dollar Sale on Saturday August 25th and Sunday August 26th 2018 from 9am-4pm both days. Come check out BRAND NEW ITEMS including: clothing, sunglasses, accessories, housewares, shoes and more... All for $1!!!! All proceeds go directly back to Gleaners.  

This event is a  walk (you can walk as little or as much as you want) and will help raise awareness for Eating Disorders. The funds raised will be going to Pathstone Mental Health and National Eating Disorder Information Center. The afternoon will consist of prizes, food, fun and awareness. Let's make this a day to remember.

Arts Council Windsor & Region (ACWR) is proud to share the work of its members this summer in its annual summer members show entitled, Windsor HEAT at ArtSpeak Gallery from July 11-26.

The Windsor: HEAT exhibition to celebrate our members and local arts. Our member artists will share small works ranging from painting, drawing, sculpture, fine craft, books, jewelry and more. All artwork is for sale and a part of the proceeds go to support the programs and services offered to the artists of Windsor/Essex by the ACWR. This year we’re requesting work with a theme of “food.” 

Windsor HEAT Member’s Exhibition will be taking place during Walkerville’s 17th Annual Art Walk.

Sky Fest is a festive aviation themed afternoon at the beach, commemorating the first Canadian parachute jump, and celebrating the Niagara region's rich aviation heritage. There will be games for kids, live music by local entertainers, displays, aircraft fly-bys, and thrilling skydiving shows by the GERONIMO! Skydiving Team. The grand finale is at 5:00 PM with the appearance of the Canadian Warplane Museum's WWII DC-3 "DAK" commemorating the first Canadian parachute jump made by Frank Ellis on July 5, 1919 with this special flight and parachute jump. You don't want to miss this exciting event. Open to the public and free admission for the event.

The Emancipation Celebration recognizes the abolition of slavery in the British Colonies, including Canada on August 1, 1834. At the event, guests enjoy a delicious meal and entertainment from In the Pocket Band.  There will also be an educational component in the form of a guest speaker who will discuss African-Canadian history.  The event is at the Caboto Club in Windsor on August 3 at 6pm.
