Dave Wickerham -- In Concert

KTOS Kingston Theatre Organ Society Presents Dave Wickerham in Concert Friday November 8th at  89 Kirkpatrick St. Kingston ON. K7K 7G4 7:30 PM

Dave just loves Kingston's Theatre Organ. He is more than happy to come to Kingston  to play on the this The Largest Theatre Pipe Organ in Canada. It was built by the Chicago Kimball Pipe Organ factory in 1928 for installation in the State Theatre in Youngstown Ohio.

Dave's program is quite varied including both older selections and many more current works. During the second half of his performance Dave draws on a list of requests that he gathers during the intermission, to be part of the  program for the second half.

Although the concert organ is housed in a church the program certainly is not church music, but we might hear some of that as well.

Remember Nov 8th 7:30 PM tickets at the door or advance sales to Nancy Young (613-389-6218) or royandnancy@sympathico.ca

                                                       Winter Boot Campaign

The Compassionate Committee for the Homeless in North Bay will hold a Winter Boot Campaign.  We will be collecting essential items and looking for sponsors for winter boots to ensure people experiencing homelessness survive the cold winter months.

Help us fill a trunk with NEW thermal socks, hats, mitts, and scarves!

We will accept drop offs on Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption garages across from 480 McIntyre St. West.

Sponsor a pair of winter boots!

In addition to the NEW mitts, hats, scarves, and socks drive, you can help people experiencing homelessness by sponsoring winter boots for $50 - $100.  We will do the shopping for you and ensure that frontline organizations are provided with the right sized boots or shoes to support people experiencing homelessness in North Bay.

For more information, please contact Leah at 705-472-5687 or email us at compassionnorthbay@gmail.com.

Public Notices/Announcements - North Bay - Terra Spencer Concert

Bad ideas, VCRs, crumbling factories, terrible therapists, hairy dogs, wrinkled shirts, French fries, questionable tattoos...all are fair game for Nova Scotian funeral director-turned-songwriter Terra Spencer. And the songs are good ones, judging from the stack of awards her three albums have received, and from the caliber of her collaborators, which include David Francey, Ben Caplan, and Matt Andersen. Although her butterscotch voice, deft fingerstyle guitar, and gospel-charged piano make her a formidable musician, it's her onstage ease and crackling wit that make each show feel like a knee-to-knee conversation in a room of 5 or 500. “The real deal.” - Ron Sexsmith

This is the first in what will hopefully be many Concert events in the East Coaster Studios presents series and we have the talented Terra Spencer from Nova Scotia. Terra is an award-winning singer-songwriter who has worked with the likes of David Francey, Ben Caplan, Matt Andersen, Stephen Fearing and Dave Gunning. She is touring through Ontario promoting her phenomenal new album, Sunset.

As an added bonus we have local musician, Connor Carruthers, who is relatively new to the music scene making his North Bay debut opening the show. The show is being held at Wildwoods Brewery so you come early and have dinner and a drink before the show!

Tickets: $25

Tickets are available from eastcoasterstudios@gmail.com

Oct 21st - Show time: 8P.M. to 10 P.M.
