Smiths Falls Community Theatre presents their Fall play, 'Murder on the Rerun', a comedic mystery by Fred Carmichael.

Running for 7 performances, with 2 matinees. Adult tickets are $24, Student tickets $10. Tickets can be purchased at Special Greetings, 8 Russell St. E, 9-5, Mon-Sat or online with seat selection at www.smithsfallstheatre.com

Synopsis:  Takes a different approach to mystery as a ghost tries to find out who murdered her in a witty, sophisticated, yet suspenseful look at the upper crust of Hollywood. The curtain rises to find Jane, Oscar winning screen writer, dead at the bottom of the stairs in a Vermont ski lodge. Her four friends and husband are saying she fell.”I was pushed!” she says as her ghost rises. Aided by Kitty, a rather wanton adviser from “up there”, Jane is brought ahead to the present, three years after the murder, where the same group is gathered to figure out who killed her. The five suspects join together to keep the possible murder quiet for reasons of their own but their relationship busts apart with their mutual distrust.

This special performance will pay tribute to the 50th anniversary of the Edmund Fitzgerald, the Great Lakes freighter that tragically sank on November 10, 1975, claiming the lives of all 29 crew members. The storm that night produced 35-foot waves and 60 mph winds, overwhelming the ship and leaving no survivors. Moved by the story, Gordon Lightfoot went on to write "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald"—a deeply emotional ballad that remains a defining part of his legacy.  Join us as we honour the memory of the crew and the legacy of Lightfoot's timeless tribute. TICKETS ON SALE NOW! Sat. Oct 4, 2025 at 6.00 PM. Meridian Centre for the Arts (1640 Garrison Rd., Fort Erie ON. Cancer Takedown is an uplifting evening of song, story and solidarity; with all proceeds going to Cancer Care at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre.

Featuring incredible musicians Melissa Payne, Kate Suhr, The Weber Brothers, Nicholas Campbell, Anthony Bastianon and more. Co-hosted by comedic powerhouses Megan Murphy and Denise Oucharek. The show also features three women (all diagnosed under the age of 40) sharing their stories; focusing on the emotional and mental rollercoaster that the cancer experience brings.

Cancer Takedown is a fundraiser, but more importantly it is a spirit-raiser for anyone touched by cancer. Our ambition is to bring attention to the emotional and mental burden of cancer, uniting people through shared experience.

For people who have been through cancer, to those in the middle of their fight. For the families, friends and caregivers who rally around them. This is camaraderie. This is community. This is Cancer Takedown.
