Hutchison House Museum is working hard, preparing the museum to re-open to the public this summer. Starting July 15th until September 5th, 2020 Hutchison House museum will be open to the public on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday afternoons. Visitors may choose to have a tour of the museum or enjoy Scottish Tea on the terrace. Sittings are at 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.

Scottish Tea, served on the terrace in the period garden, includes fresh baked scones, preserves, whipped cream, oatcakes, and tea, lemonade, or ice tea. Scottish Tea is $10 for adults, $5 for children (ages 6-10), children ages 5 and under are free.  Admission for tours only is $5 adults, $3 students (6-18) ages 5 and under is free. There is a max of 4 people for tours as well as four people per table for the Scottish Teas.

All visitors will be required to register and pay for both tours and the Scottish Teas in advance. Visitors will be required to self-screen before visiting the museum as well as where a mask or face shield when inside the building. Hand Sanitizer will be available for guests when they arrive at the museum, as well as when they exit. All visitors will enter through the north accessible entrance and exit through either the front door or the pathway to the east of the museum.

Museum staff will increase daily cleaning protocols as well as wearing appropriate personal protective equipment when producing food for the Scottish Teas, giving tours as well as general interactions with the public.

At this time the Bookshop will remain closed for browsing, however books can be purchased by phone and picked up at the museum.

Get active, have fun and save animals with the Sweat for Pets summer challenge

Sweat for Pets this summer with the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society's new virtual fundraising campaign aimed at inspiring people of all ages to get active and have fun with weekly challenges delivered right to your inbox. By breaking a sweat, sharing your accomplishments and collecting pledges in your community, you'll be supporting animals in need.

Starting June 22, the Ontario SPCA will kick off 10 challenges over 10 weeks to raise funds to care for animals in need. Don’t worry if you register after June 22nd, all previous weekly challenges will be unlocked for you.

Once registered, get ready to sweat for pets with a fun new challenge every week, while encouraging your family, friends and co-workers to pledge their support.

Whether you have a pet or just love animals, there’s never been a better time to come together – virtually – as a community to have fun, keep moving and give animals in need a second chance.

You have waited a long time to get a sneak peek of the newly renovated studio, galleries, and public spaces. The Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre invites you to the Reopening, Renovation Tour on August 2nd, 2020 from 10:00 am - 8:00 pm.

To ensure safety for all, guests are asked to book a time for their visit by registering online or by calling the front desk at 905-468-5455*. Admittance is by donation. A suggested amount of $25.00 per person is greatly appreciated.
