Starting on Thursday, May 28, the Petawawa Public Library will be offering a contactless material pickup service.

 

You may request materials by:

  1. Placing holds through our online catalogue or;
  2. Calling us at 613-687-2227 to request materials (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10 am to 5 pm; Tuesday and Thursday from 10 am to 8 pm; Saturday from 11 am to 4 pm).  If you are unsure of exactly what you would like to request, we can provide suggestions.  We will also be offering a variety of themed surprise packs.  You can request a Book Bundle, a Movie Mix, or a Variety Pack.

 

Where there is no waiting list for an item will aim to have it available within one working day after being requested but there may be occasional delays.  Please do not come to the library until you have been notified that your materials are ready for pickup. 

 

Please note: You may return materials only through the external book return.  Materials will be quarantined for at least 72 hours before they are checked in.  Items in quarantine will show on your account during that time, but don’t worry, as fines will not accrue.

 

We are looking forward to providing you with physical materials again and are excited to see you from afar.

Community Event - North Bay - Active Transportation Route

The City of North Bay will again designate Memorial Drive
as an active transportation route during the upcoming weekend in an effort to assist with
physical distancing requirements during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Memorial Drive will be closed between Regina Street and the Marina starting Friday, May 22,
at 3 p.m. and will reopen Monday, May 25, at 8 a.m. The closure is designed to allow those
who are cycling and walking maintain a safe distance by using the roadway. Vehicles will be
able to access the waterfront parking lots and Marina entrance. Signage indicating no through
traffic will be posted ahead of both entrances to Memorial Drive along Lakeshore Drive and
Main Street West.
