Calling all Princesses and Superheroes! Moms and Dads can bring out their inner child and join us at the Princess and Superhero Party at École secondaire publique Odyssée, 480 Norman Avenue. We promise an exciting afternoon of everything magical and fun; princess beauty parlour, superhero hair styling, craft stations, partying with Princesses, Action Heroes and includes a tasty cupcake. United Way Niagara Period Promise Campaign Kick-Off

United Way Niagara is excited to kick off a new campaign and initiative to help those struggling with period poverty which runs March 3rd, 2020 through March 21st, 2020.

The Period Promise campaign is a community wide product drive to collect period products and distribute them to local agencies and services providers across the Niagara area.

Period Promise also encourages local businesses to commit to providing products free to anyone who needs them.

Join us at one of three locations as we kick-off Period Promise March 3rd, 2020 from 5:30 – 7:00 PM

  • Big fundraiser for the ALS Society of Windsor and Essex County on Sunday February 16th at Legion Branch 594 on Howard Ave. Event times are 3-9. Tickets are $20 and include a pasta and salad dinner with door prizes and a silent auction. Entertainment throughout the day with the live orchestra at 7 with local musicians from the present and past performing and accompanied by the Orchestra. If you have ever been to the Grand Ole Opry you will love this event.  Tickets available at: Long and Mcquade music store, 594 legion Howard Ave or call John Gray at 519-734-7099. Tickets may also be available at the door. Capital Campaign for $10,000 towards purchase and equipment of a permanent portable classroom of 480 square feet to be placed on-site where families access shelter. This space will allow expansion of their current weekend kids recreational program for the 400 + kids who are accompanying their parents and caregivers into shelter annually. 

Named Patsy's Place, in memory of long time community advocate Patricia Noonan, the space will create first of its kind offerings specifically targeting kids, 2-15, who are in shelter and experiencing family homelessness.
