IRIS Residential Inns and Services operates IRIS House, a ‘Housing With Supports’ home for 65 people with PSMI.

Theme 3 - Education: francophone, immersion, or anglophone education?

ACFOMI is committed to the development, and vitality of Kingston’s Francophone community and the Thousand Island region.
ACFOMI is organizing a speaker’s series entitled: “One city two realities: A meeting between anglos and francos 50 years after the Official Languages Act” .

Sarah Lasko and Catherine Lord will discuss with host Eric Galarneau about the choice between Francophone, Immersion, and Anglophone schools.

This series is recommended for members of the public able to understand both official languages

This project was selected for the Official Languages Support Program of the Ministry of Canadian Heritage.

Une ville, deux réalités : rencontres entre les anglos et franco 50 ans après la Loi sur les langues officielles 

L'ACFO Mille-Îles œuvre au développement, à l'épanouissement et à la vitalité de la communauté francophone de la ville de Kingston et la région des Mille-Îles.

Sarah Lasko et Catherine Lord discuteront avec Eric Galarneau sur les choix entre les écoles francophones, d'immersions, et anglophone.

Rendez-vous à la succursale centrale de la Kingston Frontenac Public Library le 9 octobre à 18 h 45 pour cette discussion fascinante et informative.

We are a non-profit association since 1978

ARA’s 40th Annual Art Show , Oct.18th to Nov.10th

35 local artists with over 150 original artworks.  &  the Juried competition with cash prizes.
This year’s theme; WATER.
The Association of Representational Artist annual show opens Friday Oct.18th at 10 am
