Explore your inner artist at a Paint Workshop with Luanne Hartman. The picture to be painted is entitled “birch trees on lake”. A 55-Alive safe driving course is offered by the County Seniors Centre at the Community Care for Seniors offices on 74A King Street, Picton from 9:30 to 3:30pm.  The Canada Safety Council developed this mature driver retraining program which is designed specifically to help older drivers improve their driving skills. Compton Singh is the certified instructor.  Social Euchre with all playing levels welcome.  This is a 10 week Euchre series starting on Tuesday, October 1st, from 1:30 to 3:00pm at Hillier Town Hall located at 18560 Loyalist Parkway, Hillier.  Members $5.00, non-members $10.00 for the series.  Seniors 60+ will enjoy a social Euchre hour with refreshments! The Prince Edward Family Health Team will offer a free blood pressure clinic on Tuesday, October 1st at North Marysburgh Town Hall located at 2699 Prince Edward County Road 8. High blood pressure is a dangerous condition in adults that is a major risk factor for heart attack and stroke. Blood Pressure Clinics enable you to have your blood pressure checked by a professional nurse. Support groups provide an opportunity for care partners caring for someone living in the community, who share a similar experience, to support one another, exchange information and ideas and in doing so, strengthen their capacity to cope. Case counsellors facilitate these groups and offer information and guidance according to the needs and interests of the group. Learn about the rich barley history, wildflowers and animals of the area.  Enjoy an exceptional panoramic view of Prince Edward Bay. Terry Sprague will guide this hike which explores the Little Bluff Conservation area located at 3625 County Road 13, Milford.  Bring water and good footwear.  A walking stick may be helpful as well. Hike starts at 10:00am.
