Samuel Taylor Coleridge And “The Rime Of The Ancient Mariner” is Thursday, June 28, from 2-3 p.m. at the Chatham Public Library. It's free!
The event consists of a reading of the poem, “The Rime Of The Ancient Mariner,” and a description of Coleridge’s life. He was a poet, drug addict, philosopher, literary critic, anda great talker.
The speaker is Clair Culliford of The Veranda Presents.

Genealogy workshop, open forum, getting ready for summer
Saturday June 16th, 9AM - 3PM at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 323 Simcoe St. in Niagara On The Lake. Come out and enjoy all things STRAWBERRY - shortcake, crepes, jam, as well as barbeque, drinks, bake table, silent auction, used books, Granny's Attic, children's area and entertainment all day. The Friends of the Rideau Lakes Library invite you to a Summer Garden Tour on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 in support of the Rideau Lakes summer literacy program for children. The gardens we'll visit are, The Maitland Garden of Hope, Von Berlo Gardens and Rideau Woodland Ramble. Your ticket includes transportation from one of five locations: Carleton Place, Perth, Smiths Falls, Portland and Elgin Ontario. Please bring a picnic lunch which you can enjoy in the Van Berlo Gardens on the Banks of the St. Lawrence. Tickets are $45.00 and are on sale until July 1, 2018. We require a minimum of 45 participants to make this tour viable. If cancelled you will receive a full refund.
