On Friday, July 13th, YMCA Northumberland will hold its Annual Charity Golf Tournament at Dalewood Golf Club (7465 Dale Rd, Cobourg).

Tournament features an lunch, an afternoon of golf, followed by a barbeque dinner on the patio. $149 per golfer, includes a $50 charitable donation receipt. Golfers can purchase an activity pass for $25 to play for great prizes throughout the day. Register on-line at ymcanorthumberland.com

Each year, the YMCA Northumberland Annual Charity Golf Tournament raises funds to ensure the YMCA continues to strengthen our communities through programs focused on improving health and wellbeing throughout Northumberland County.

Hinterbrook Winery is releasing its newest white wine, “Stardust”, and wants you to help design a label! In partnership with the Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre, they invite you to drop in at 247 Ricardo Street, NOTL on Friday, July 13 between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to paint stars and swirls on labels which will then be put on wine bottles.

To make things more fun, the paint will glow-in-the-dark, so you’ll be able to find your bottle at home when lights are low. All painting supplies will be provided free of charge, and no previous art experience is needed.

The new wine will be available for sale by the glass to adults of legal drinking age (photo ID will be requested). You will also be able to place your order for bottles and cases and can even order the wine you or your child decorates.

Five dollars from the sale of each decorated bottle of “Stardust” will be donated by Hinterbrook to the “Niagara Pumphouse Ian Butler Scholarship Fund” which supports an annual scholarship award to a graduating high school student in Niagara on the Lake who will pursue a recognized post-secondary visual arts program.

The free Decorate a Wine Label event is open to adults and children (5 years of age and up). No reservations are needed, just drop in and grab a paint brush.

Socialize in the Gallery chatting with friends new and old, or break away to step into the Walker Room for 45 minutes to participate in the evening's chat. The café is usually held on the 2nd Thursday of every month. You do not need ID to enter, the paint stains on your clothes or other unintended evidence of your artistic endeavours will be proof enough. The event is open and free of charge to Pumphouse members and non-members alike. The casual drop-in cafe allows local artists to meet and build a community, learn from one another and share ideas. The cafe will occasionally feature special speakers discussing topics of interest.

Please join us Thursday July 5, from 7-9 p.m. as we celebrate the opening of Nature's Jewels by Marilyn Cochrane. Everyone is welcome. The exhibit will be on display from July 3-30, 2018. The inspiration for this show has been the beautiful, bountiful landscape of Niagara-on-the-Lake. There are three themes - Grapes on the vine, glorious Peonies, and the Echoes series of landscapes framed along with crystal minerals. This collection of paintings is a celebration of these jewels of nature!

A hilarious British farce set in an English vicarage. This is a fund raising coproduction for Lindsay Little Theatre and the Academy Theatre.
